Conference details1. When was the 2008 Creative Freelancer Conference?The Conference took place August 27-29, 2008.
2. Where did the 2008 Creative Freelancer Conference take place? At the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
3. Who is the Conference for? The program is geared toward freelance graphic designers, copywriters, illustrators and photographers, as well as solo practitioners of interactive, interior and industrial design. Anyone who makes a living selling creative services on a freelance basis (or would like to) will benefit. Learn more here.
Registration questions1. How do I register?Registration is now closed. Please check back later for more information on the 2009 Creative Freelancer Conference.
2. How much will it cost to attend? Please visit the registration page for a complete 2008 price list. Please use these numbers when budgeting for next year.
3. When is the Early-Bird registration deadline? The July 31 Early-Bird registration deadline has passed.
4. Is the Group Rate a per-person cost, or is that for the whole group? The Group Rate is a per-person registration cost. By registering with a group of three or more freelancer friends, you can each pay just $435 per person no matter when you register (that's a savings of $60 per person off the regular rate!). Please visit the registration page for a complete price list. To qualify for group registration prices, at least three people must register, and we must receive the registrations within 48 hours of each other.
5. Can I register on-site at the Conference? Please note that you cannot register group members simultaneously; each member must submit a registration. The Conference is now over and registration is closed.
6. Do I have to choose my sessions when I register? All sessions are included in your registration fee. However, there are a limited number of spaces available for the Business Review on Thursday, so if you wish to have your materials reviewed, please be sure to select that option when you register.
7. Can I get a receipt/invoice for my registration? If you register online, you will be presented with a printable receipt at the end of the registration process. If you did not print your online receipt or you registered via postal mail or fax and would like a receipt, please contact us.
8. Can I make my hotel reservation when I register? No. You'll need to contact the hotel to make your reservations and to ensure you receive the Conference's discounted room price. Please be sure to make your reservations early. Visit the travel page for complete details.

Using this site1. Is it safe for me to register using my credit card on this site?Absolutely. This Web site uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt your personal information when you register. This means your registration cannot be read as it travels over the Internet, so your name, address and credit card information are secure.
2. What if I'm having problems with the online registration process? If your problems are technical in nature (your browser is reporting errors or pages are failing to load correctly), please first try quitting and re-launching your browser, and/or restarting your computer. Also, be sure you have "accepting cookies" enabled in your browser's preferences (cookies are required for the registration form to work). If the issue persists, contact us and explain your problem in as much detail as you can.
3. I'm having some difficulty just viewing the pages on your Web site. Can you help? The Creative Freelancer Conference Web site uses several Web technologies, including JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheets, which depend upon the browser to interpret correctly. Our site is optimized for version 4.x browsers and higher (e.g., Netscape 4.7 for Macs or PCs, or Internet Explorer 4.x/5.x for Macs or PCs), and a video resolution of at least 800x600. If you are using an older browser, or a browser that does not support these technologies, but want to learn more about the Conference, please feel free to call us at (513)531-2690 ext. 11450. We'll be happy to answer any questions you may have about the Conference, or send you a detailed Conference brochure via postal mail if you have yet to receive one. We make sure our facility has total accessibility, and we do whatever is needed to make attending the Conference as convenient as possible for all attendees.
